tree branches in the mist, at night

Welcome to the blog of Ian Strand.

Old / New Project

Posted on March 19, 2019.

It is finally warm in San Diego! I have been working on bringing my camera with me more often, but more often than not, I am working with photos taken last year. This is all right, but I have been promising my self that it will change. Recently, I sorted through some old photos from Venice, Italy, and found that the images reminded me of the process of moving through a video game - the narrow, winding streets, combined with graffiti, create an overwhelming sense of curiousity and discovery.

Behold, my first post!

Posted on March 18, 2019.

I have finally created the perfect blog! With my own two hands!

This blog is intended to serve as a creative outlet of sorts. My goal is to start by first reinventing the wheel - hand-coding a typical blog format. Then, I will use this site to regularly document my day-to-day art. Hopefully, in the process, I will take a few liberties with the blog format, in order to create a site that is truly unique and personal. This will be a responsive website.
